This blog was created to document my various attempts to make school bearable. These preoccupations include doodles, rhymes, and other things that I made while my teachers lecture. These musings don't necessarily arise from boredom, some actually help to remember the lesson, some obviously have no bearing to education at all. I will include some type of explanation with each post, if needed. I will update as much as I can...
About Me:
My name is Jimmy Hughes. I started doodling probably back in elementary school. I found that it's just what I do when my mind wanders. I am bored by school, at least during classtime. I regard this time as wasted, even though many lessons DO further my knowledge and are beneficial. I look at it like this: I could of read what the teacher just said in a book and been done with it in ten minutes, instead I'm sitting in a room for and hour and a half with 20 or more people that only succeed in distracting me. Like I said before this started young, but as the years grew so has the frequency in which I do it. This may very well be becuase I have become less and less interested in school, and more and more aware that what the teacher is saying isn't vital. I am in college now and have logged many hours listening to, in my opinion, useless lectures. Even though my notes are filled with stick figures and doodles and a general lack of traditional notes, I do well in school.
